On November 27th 2015, activities of the SUPPLY CHA!NGE campaign culminated in a European Day of Action, celebrating the European Year of Development with activities in almost all European member states. In Belgium, the EEB collaborated with 3 local organisations who all work on making changes to the supply chain. We went to the local market to give consumers the choice between supermarket brand orange juice (warning them that it may contain pesticides banned in the EU and may have been made by slave labour) or locally produced apple juice from apples that would have gone to waste otherwise. We used this pretext to talk to people about the squeez out report, handed out project leaflets and asked people to sign the petition.
